On account of International Youth Day, National AIDS Control Society (NACO),Mokokchung, conducted HIV Sensitization program and Testing under the initiative of the Red Ribbon Club (RRC), New Model College Mangkolemba on 12th August, 2025. The programme comprising the teachers and students of the college were informed of the origin and history of HIV, ways of transmission and prevention, testing and treatment facilities. Besides, the team also debunk the myths and stigmas centered on the HIV infected and also explained various acronyms such as STI, HRG, U=U, PLWH related to HIV and AIDS. Questionnaires were distributed pre and post session to assess the knowledge of the attendees. After the session, testing for HIV and Syphilis was conducted with participation from both the teachers and students.
