CELEBRATION OF WORLD LITERACY DAY

On account of World Literacy Day, the Department of Education and English of New Model College Mangkolemba, organized a competition on Prepared Speech, Extempore Speech and Open Mic Poetry under the theme “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era” on 8th September, 2025 in the college campus. The event which was chaired by Ms. Longchanenla, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, commenced with an exhortation from the Principal.Ms. Imlisenla Longchar (BA Education 3rd Semester) emerged as the winner in all the three competitions, while the second position for Prepared Speech, Extempore Speech and Open Mic Poetry were bagged by Ms. Purmila Holal (BA Education 5th Semester), Mr. Imkongyanger (BA English 5th Semester) and Ms. Marlemla (BA Sociology 5th Semester) respectively.
