It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce our esteemed institution, poised to redefine excellence in education.
New Model College, Mangkolemba established in the year 2023 by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland is affiliated to Nagaland University. Presently it offers Honours in Humanities and Social Sciences with our motto “Nurturing Possibilities Towards Excellence”.
Our commitment to providing quality education like any other higher educational institutions in the state, with the team work of highly qualified and dedicated faculty is guaranteed for each individual student. We are also committed to empowering students with a holistic approach in its endeavour. The present curriculum is based on NEP 2020 with special emphasis in skill and value development among the learners. The curriculum framework has made a paradigm shift from the traditional specific subject to oriented to multidisciplinary approach making education more student- friendly.

Brief background of the College
New Model College Mangkolemba is situated on the foothills of Khar hills in Mangkolemba Town, a Sub-Division under Mokokchung district. This College is a nascent College of Humanities and Social Sciences, established by the Government of Nagaland in the year 2023 with due administrative approval. The foundation stone was laid on 23rd October 2018 by Shri. Temjen Imna Along, the then Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education & Technical Education, Govt. of Nagaland. The establishment of the college was initiated under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) project and is affiliated to Nagaland University.
The College is commitment to providing quality education to the needy students especially to the populace of three ranges under Mokokchung district. The college emphasises on holistic development with a focus on academic excellence and character building under the mentorship of dedicated faculty and supporting staff.
