The Department of Education, New Model College, organized an International Women’s Day Programme on 10th March 2026 at the college premises with the theme “Give to Gain.” The programme was led by Miss Juju, Assistant Professor. It began with an invocation prayer by Miss Sentinangla, Assistant Professor, followed by a welcome address by Dr. L. J. Neken Jamir, Vice Principal, who warmly welcomed the guests and participants and encouraged everyone to reflect on the importance of the theme. A special gesture of appreciation was also presented by the male students, who offered small tokens of respect to the female attendees.The exhortation was delivered by Miss Kikamongla Ao, Principal of BHSS, Mangkolemba, who highlighted the importance of recognizing women’s contributions and emphasized that women should be respected and celebrated every day. She explained that the theme “Give to Gain” promotes cooperation, mutual support, and equality between genders. The programme also featured a special song by Miss Mendila, B.A. 2nd Semester. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Rebecca Khiupur, Assistant Professor, followed by a benediction by Miss Thechano Kithan, Assistant Professor.
