A Historic Milestone
2026 heralded a new era in the history of New Model College, Mangkolemba. The institution has proudly bestowed the title of the first batch of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) graduates of Nagaland University. This is a remarkable achievement as a pioneering batch with 100% pass rate, with all 9 candidates successfully completing their degree programme. Even more significantly, two students secured prestigious rank in the Nagaland University Rank Holders’ List, bringing laurels and statewide recognition to the college.
From the Principal’s Desk
I am pleased and happy to convey my heartfelt congratulations to the first batch of New Model College, Mangkolemba. Above all, I offer my deepest gratitude to Almighty God, whose abundant grace has enabled us to reach this historic milestone. I warmly congratulate each and every one of our graduating students for your hard work, perseverance, and unwavering commitment, which have culminated in an outstanding 100% pass rate. I am especially delighted that two of our students have secured places on the Nagaland University Rank Holders’ List, bringing immense honour not only to themselves and their families but also to the college and the entire Mangkolemba community.
I also extend my sincere appreciation to our dedicated faculty members and non-teaching staff who have been tireless, committed and sacrificed to make this possible. A lot of difficulties were encountered during the formative years of the College, such as shortage of faculty and staff, and academic facilities from library facilities to many other essentials. Yet, through God’s grace, unwavering determination, and collective effort, we persevered.
On this memorable day, I would like to express my gratitude to all the civil society organizations of Mangkolemba Town for their constant encouragement and support. I would like to extend my special thanks to the Mangkolemba Students’ Union, various other community organisations, the former Additional Deputy Commissioner, the present Additional Deputy Commissioner and their staff for their immense support to the college on numerous occasions. Their goodwill, cooperation, and continued support have contributed significantly to the growth and development of this institution.
Lastly I would like to congratulate our graduating students for setting an inspiring example for the youths of Mangkolemba and beyond. May this great feat be a beacon of hope for future generations to strive for excellence through integrity, dedication and trust. I pray that New Model College Mangkolemba will continue to radiate brighter and brighter in these coming years and make a significant impact in society and in education in general.
